Ja'Marr Chase now signed through 2025 season, Bengals announceCINCINNATI (ENQUIRER) – The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t agreed to a new contract with wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase just yet, but there has been progress among the two sides, our partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer wrote Monday, sourcing NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport says.

Chase is under contract with the Bengals for the next two seasons, but he held in during training camp while seeking a new deal. The three-time Pro Bowler practiced some last week but also sat out a couple practices, which came after head coach Zac Taylor said Tuesday he expected Chase to continue to practice and was confident he would play Week 1.

“The two sides are in talks for a deal that would make him among the highest-paid receivers in the NFL, or the highest-paid receiver, higher than Justin Jefferson,” Rapoport said Monday. “There have been some talks. There has been some progress, but there is for sure nothing done yet.”Ja'Marr Chase now signed through 2025 season, Bengals announce

The Minnesota Vikings gave Jefferson a historic four-year deal in June worth $140 million, including $110 million guaranteed. Jefferson’s $35 million average-per-year salary is the highest at the wide receiver position.

The Bengals kick off their regular season Sunday at 1 p.m. against the New England Patriots.
