As the NFL prepares for its inaugural game in Brazil, concerns arise regarding the Green Bay Packers’ hotel arrangements before their matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFL started its International Series in 2007 to expand the sport globally. Since then, games have been held in London, United Kingdom; Munich, Germany; and Mexico City, Mexico. The league is also exploring new locations for future games.

Aside from the game hosted in Sao Paulo, Brazil, this Friday, September 6, the 2024 NFL games hosted overseas are as follows:

All three locations have been a success, as evidenced by the NFL’s decision to return. However, disturbing details have emerged throughout the week up to Friday’s game in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The NFL increased security after players from both teams expressed safety concerns. Additionally, unsettling photos of the Corinthians Arena, the host stadium, have surfaced. According to Jonathan Jones on X, as the away team, the Packers will have an estimated 1.5-2 hour drive from their hotel to the stadium. On the other hand, the Eagles, as the home team, are staying close by.
