NEWS FLASH: According to a report from RMC Sport, Sunderland have supposedly signed a former French spectacular forward on a free transfer.

The 33-year-old remains a free agent following his departure from Greek Giants Olympiacos during the summer but has attracted the interest of several sides across Europe within the last few weeks.

M’Vila has been on the receiving end of multiple transfer enquiries, but the former French international is yet to decide on his future.

The Frenchman spent the 2015/16 Premier League season at the Stadium Of Light after signing on loan from Russian side Rubin Kazan and contributed to six goals in 37 league appearances.Suspension means France midfielder Yann M'Vila will miss 2014 World Cup | Football News | Sky Sports

Following his spell with the club, M’Vila remained in Russia for two years before returning to France with Saint-Etienne in January 2018. He spent over two years with the club before moving to Olympiacos on a free transfer before being released during the summer upon the expiry of his contact with the club.

Throughout his professional career, the midfielder has made over 500 first-team appearances as well as contributing to 45 goals as well and featured in competitions such as the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League.

According to the report from RMC Sport, M’Vila has been on the receiving end of offers from several unnamed sides. However, there have been five clubs credited with an interest, which are; Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion, Atletico Madrid, Le Harve and Istanbul Basakesehir with the Spanish side (Atletico Madrid) being named as the favourites.Suspension means France midfielder Yann M'Vila will miss 2014 World Cup | Football News | Sky Sports
