rellin has been a stalwart in the Toffees’ development system, but their season in the Premier League 2 has not started well. Crellin has conceded seven goals in just two outings for the Toffees, who are currently bottom of the division.

Having said that, the former Bolton loanee has earned multiple appearances for England’s youth set-up, his most recent being for the under-20s in 2019, demonstrating his tremendous potential.

Cannon has played consistently with Crellin in the Premier League 2 for the previous two seasons, with the pair finishing seventh last season. The striker has since progressed to senior football in the Championship but has yet to play for the Foxes.

Crellin, meantime, is confident of seeing first-team action soon but has admitted that he is considering another loan transfer in January. According to the Liverpool Echo (20 September), he stated, “[I’d like to] get to January and go out on loan and show everyone here at the club what I can do.” Then return the following season and proceed from there.”

He sees a bright future in Merseyside, but his path to first-team football may be a long one.
