James Maddison has joked that he will not be able to look at Son Heung-min for a while after the Tottenham Hotspur captain got in his way just as the attacking midfielder was through on goal.

Both James Maddison and Son Heung-min managed to get on the scoresheet. For Maddison, it was a significant goal as it was his first at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for his new club.

But he will definitely feel that he should have bagged a brace. Maddison burst into the box at one stage, seemingly about to have a shot at Bernd Leno.

However, at the crucial moment, there was clearly a misunderstanding. Son got close enough to Maddison that he clearly expected to have the shot himself. And thus, the 26-year-old was off his stride by the time he got his strike away.

Maddison could not hide his frustration in the immediate aftermath. Son meanwhile, looked to be almost baffled. And the former Leicester City man suggested that he needed some time to calm down with his £22 million teammat
