JUST IN: SIR ALEX FERGURSON SHADES TOTTENHAM FOR EARLY TALKS CONCERNING…….
Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez is now regarded as Galatasaray’s signing of the season thus far.
That’s according to Turkish outlet Sporx who were comparing the defender to all of the club’s summer signings
Sanchez departed Tottenham for £13m at the end of the window and has now become a key figure at Galatasaray.
And the report has detailed how confident the Colombian has been with his aerial control and playmaking since arriving.
Of course, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Sanchez is faring so well.
Although he wasn’t deemed to be the defender for Ange Postecoglou, Sanchez did arrive at Tottenham for £42m back in 2017.
The defender was coveted across Europe and looked to have world-class potential.
And still only 27-years-old, Galatasaray must feel that they have snatched a bargain from Spurs.
What’s more, Sanchez must be very happy himself to now feel key to a project once again, and he does have the added bonus of Champions League football.
From Tottenham’s point of view, there’s unlikely to be any regret either.
Spurs’ new starting centre-back Micky van de Ven has been sensational since he’s arrived and is deemed to have world-class potential.
Sanchez’s move from Tottenham to Galatasaray has worked for all parties
Of course, Postecoglou may still feel like he needs to make further additions to his back line.
Although he has a strong starting back four, there’s not an awful
Emerson Royal has been stating his desire to win back his starting spot, but the defender seems firmly behind Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro right now.
But it is at centre-back that Spurs seemingly will need to make their next move.
Eric Dier has been free to leave the club for some time according to reports, but is now needed on the bench.
Whilst Sanchez’s move to Galatasaray has worked out for all involved, Tottenham may now need to act in January.
Postecoglou’s team are soaring at the top of the league, but any unfortunate injuries in the starting XI could prove very problematic.
