With the countdown to the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship well underway, Michael van Gerwen is once again one of the hot favourites to lift the Sid Waddell Trophy on January 3rd and claim his fourth world title.
Although he wasn’t able to come into the Ally Pally in title winning form, losing to Luke Humphries in the final of the Players Championship Finals, ‘Mighty Mike’ showed himself to be performing at a high level. ” I think overall I had a fantastic weekend. I played some incredible darts and I think that was the probably the biggest positive for me out of the weekend, because I think it was the best tournament I played for a while,” he assesses in conversation with the Weekly Dartscast.
