James Maddison and Harry Maguire both missed out on the final 26 players to be picked for the England Euro 2024 squad. Maddison came on in the 61st minute vs. Bosnia, being on the field for the two final England goals in their 3-0 win, but surprisingly missed out.

Harry Maguire has struggled with injuries lately, as his inclusion looked very uncertain, as well as having other good up and coming central defender alternatives to choose. Maguire was not included, due to his injuries, believed to have been in there if fully fit.

Two players in the England squad have a relation and past at Leicester. Harry Kane played for Leicester eleven years ago. His loan spell at the club, playing 13 league games and scoring 2 goals, never gave the intention that he in the future would become one of the best forwards on this planet. Ivan Toney, also made the final 26. In an interview with Steven Bartlett, he talks about his story in life and being rejected by Leicester, and from there joined Northampton.
