Birmingham City have launched an insane £10m bid for Fulham striker and long-term target, Jay Stansfield, as per John Percy.
Birmingham City are firm favourites for promotion this season in League One.
Their relegation wasn’t expected at the start of last season, and they began the campaign competing at the top end of the Championship.
However, some poor decisions led to them fighting relegation and their fate was sealed on the final day.
Since then they have appointed Chris Davies and made some bold transfer window moves for a third tier side.
The Blues have had interest in Stansfield for a long time now and have been hoping to make his loan spell a permanent deal this summer.
They were said to be in talks with Fulham over a £6m deal last month, but interest from Hull City and Cardiff City had the deal in doubt.
Now, in a late ambitious deadline day move, it has been claimed Birmingham City have lodged a £9-10m bid for Stansfield which would make it the most expensive League One deal in history.
