Southampton are reportedly ready to make a swoop for James Ward-Prowse, with West Ham believed to be at work to finally sign Carlos Soler from PSG, with more deals likely to break as the day progresses.

Having already made a number of top signings this summer, West Ham fans will be pleased with how Julen Lopetegui has handled his first window in charge of the east London side, where the former Wolves manager has been sufficiently backed.

And there could be one more outgoing from West Ham later today.

Al-Ittihad make deadline day offer for West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd

TBR Football understands Al-Ittihad have made an offer for Nayef Aguerd and are hoping to persuade him to move to Saudi Arabia.

West Ham have been looking to move Aguerd all summer and there has been interest from a number of clubs from around Europ in the defender, including Wolfsburg, Real Sociedad, Villarreal, Fiorentina and Porto.

And West Ham are hopeful that Aguerd seals his move away from east London, with Saudi Arabian clubs having an extra few days to complete transfers given that their transfer window is open until September 2nd.

Aguerd may not be the only Hammer to seal a move to Saudi Arabia this week, though, as TBR Football also understands that Kurt Zouma’s deal with Al-Orouba is nearing it’s conclusion after the French defender agreed terms on a Ben Jacobs on X: "Al-Ittihad's still trying for West Ham's Nayef Aguerd on a loan with €20m obligation to buy. Although Aguerd was once hailed by Martin Keown as a ‘revelation’ at West Ham, it’s clear that the defender has not settled well with the Premier League side since moving for £30m from Stade Rennais back in 2022.

And West Ham securing a Saudi Arabia transfer for the Morrocco international is good work from the Irons, who along with Zouma have managed to clear out a good amount of deadwood in their defensive ranks ahead of the transfer deadline.Ben Jacobs on X: "Al-Ittihad's still trying for West Ham's Nayef Aguerd on a loan with €20m obligation to buy. With West Ham making some good centre-back signings this summer in Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo, offloading Aguerd is good business sense from the Hammers, who are now set for a strong end to the summer window.
